On Saturday, June 10, 2023, members of the Chester County Peace Movement collected donations from drivers passing by at the intersection of High and Market Streets in West Chester. The “canning” drive was for the Phoenixville Area Community Services. (PACS)
From the PACS’s website: “Since 1972, Phoenixville Area Community Services has been dedicated to helping people get through difficult or challenging periods in their lives. Emergency assistance is provided through food distribution and Information & Referral services that help get our clients back on their feet.
PACS is a model for community feeding community. Collaborating with other food pantries and meal providers in the Phoenixville community, we provide our clients with dignity, respect and healthy, nutritious foods. Providing access to additional resources, we create a food secure community.
The mission of Phoenixville Area Community Services is to aspire to be the lead resource for food insecurity in the community.”
The CCPM is proud to support an organization providing these essential services to our community.
