NO WAR WITH IRAN RALLY

On  Saturday – January 25, 2020 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. on the Historic Court House steps (downtown West Chester) on a rainy afternoon the Chester County Peace Movement met with members of Veterans for Peace and other members of the community to declare NO WAR ON IRAN

The rally was part of hundreds of other similar protests across the country held in boroughs, small towns and large cities calling for an end to the endless wars.

Citizens from the West Chester area speak out against the costs of war.

Bill Ehrhart, John Grant and Chuck Rossi, Members of Veterans For Peace Chapter 31, were glad to attend this gathering of antiwar stalwarts on Saturday January 25, which turned out to be a miserable and rainy day. We will never forget standing with West Chester peace people during the Iraq War for many Saturdays, sometimes nose-to-nose with an insulting and abusive pro-war gang. Peace is not an easy thing to advocate for. In this militaristic culture, rah-rahhing for war is easy.
